Thought it was too late for planting spring bulbs?

If you love the look of spring flowers blooming, but thought that it was too late to plant you can breathe and sigh with relief because it is not too late! However, I would not wait too much longer. This may be your perfect weekend project, if you are not heading out for a Christmas tree.

Happy Wednesday! The holidays are getting closer but before we know it, spring will have arrived and our spring bulbs will be beautiful spring flowers

Here are our 4 Tricks to Beautiful Spring Flowers

  1. The Sooner The Better
You do want to plant as soon as possible because the longer your bulbs have to grow their roots deep into the soil, the more likely they are to live a long and fruitful life.
  2. The Bulbs Position
Position the bulb in a hole that is about 2 1/2 times the diameter of the bulb. If you have extra sandy soil or well-drained soil, go ever deeper- by 1 or 2 inches. This will not only increase the longevity of your spring flowers, but also will deter rodents.
  3. Plant in Groups
Utilize a spade when planting your bulbs because spring flowers look best in groups. The spade offers the easy way to plant the bulbs signally while keeping them side by side.
  4. Water, Water, Water
After you plant the bulbs make sure to water. Better Homes and Gardens recommends doing this because it actually stimulus root growth. While you are planting your bulbs, install Rootsticks. The rootstick will enhance the root growth stimulation by supplying the golden three: water, oxygen and nutrients to the root zone. Strong roots produce beautiful flowers.
