ROOTWELL BENEFIT SUMMARY
Patented Performance
Rootwell’s patented revolution was successfully first introduced as a fixed format sub-terrain air-water-nutrient delivery device. With the recent newly patented advancement of the passive forever-active air convection engine within, it places Rootwell as a best-in-practice permanent tree and shrub watering and feeding solution.
Value Proposition
Rootwells provide a high-value proposition. The purpose of a Rootwell grouping around a tree is to provide a superior method of water delivery and retention, during the fragile first year of planting. This essentially eliminates the unsightly and often ineffective water bags. If they are not connected to a drip irrigation system, the Rootwells are easily filled and the water is delivered into the ground for immediate use by the entire plant. The sub-terrain stored water is also a superior root coolant and is not subject to above ground water delivery evaporation, mold / fungus growth, and insect infestation. The Rootwell system often reduces or eliminates the need for chemical fertilizers that can negatively impact the environment.
Functionality
Rootwells are highly effective in difficult applications where the ground composition creates a challenge to tree health. Rootwells easily feed water sub-terrainly to the tree or shrub horizontally into the stratified soil rather than the ineffective vertical top down method where the soil strata acts as a blocking baffle redirecting the water elsewhere. This blocking causes the tree roots to grow to the surface to reach the air and water, which is the worst case scenario. Think of sidewalk lifting, and trip hazards in the yards.
Low Volume / Drip Irrigation Connectivity
Utilizing Rootwells as a permanent addition to any landscape or tree rescue plan will provide years of reduced or eliminated plant stress environment, resulting in healthier growth, beauty, and a longer life span. The Rootwells are often interconnected to drip irrigation and sub-terrain irrigation systems such as the Rain Bird Drip Irrigation and RWS series product line.
How You Benefit
Rootwells are an excellent solution for architects and consultants who value the curb appeal of their design efforts years later. For the contractor this is a superior add-on to legacy and current projects. It protects your client’s investment and your company’s reputation.
