Landscaping Tips
Continue to mow your lawn at the following recommended heights by the Old Farmer’s Almanac,
St. Augustine and Bahia: 3 to 4 inches
Centipede: 1.5 to 2 inches
Dwarf St. Augustine: 2.5 inches.
When mowing your lawn, a good rule of thumb is to mow frequently and only take about 1/3 off the top.
Water your lawn either in the mornings or at dawn for best results. This gives the grass enough time to drink in the good water before the sun dries it up.

Fruit and Vegetable Tips
Plant your herbs this month. Herbs like rosemary and basil can be perfect additions to an herb garden. Click on the herbs above for tips on how to grow them.
According to Organic Gardening, it’s time to harvest. Harvest your tomatoes, squash and peppers now.
Annual/Perennial Tips
According to the Old Farmers’ Almanac, a few annuals to plant this month are: coleus, vinca, portulaca, celosia.
Perennials to plant this month are: blue sage, zinnia, and salvia.
General June Gardening Tips
Your garden needs at least 1 inch of rain per week.
This month you may see some Japanese beetles finding their way into your garden, especially on your roses. Make sure to knock them off in the mornings.
If you are looking to plant some palms, this is the perfect time to do it.
