How To Save Your Trees and Your Money

Save money

Do your trees keep dying on you?

Are you bleeding your wallet every year because of your trees?

We all love to look out at our back yard and see flourishing trees. While my iPhone’s weather app tells me that it is 1 degree outside, I know that it is time to get planning for spring. It may be cold, but before I know it, the weather report will have warmer forecasts and birds will be showing up on my back deck.

3 Trees in 12 Years

I have a spot in my front yard where I have planted 3 trees in the 12 years that I have lived here. Every tree has died. As I set out to do my spring landscaping planning, I would like to plant another tree and yes, in the same spot. However, I am tired of wasting my money on trees that eventually die. I cannot believe this will be the 4th tree that I will be planting in that spot.

The Problem

The problem, well I’m sure there are a few, but the biggest problem that I have seen is that my soil is almost completely sandy. My trees have a difficult time growing in sandy soil. Sandy soil prevents the trees from getting the oxygen, water and nutrients they need to flourish.

The Solution

So, I did the research. The aeration tube, Rootwell Pro318, is a direct to root watering system. They are designed for situations just like mine. They are wells that you install around your tree. When it rains, the wells fill up with water. Instead of the trees roots growing near the surface where the water is, they now grow deeper into the soil.

The deeper the root grows the stronger and healthy the tree and of course more likely to flourish.

This Spring I’m Buying Aeration Tubes

This spring I am planning on planting my tree with aeration tubes. These tubes will save me the money and hassle of having to buy any more trees for that spot.
