Today, we wanted to share with you some gardening to-dos for the month of September. Last year, we published an article called September Gardening Tips and Tricks. Today’s article is going to be an expansion on that one, because fall is right around the corner and there is so much to do. In that article, we shared about the importance of fertilizing your lawn and what trees and plants are perfect to plant. As I’m sure you guessed that there are more tips.
Gardening tips for September
- Plant Tulips
Tulips are so beautiful in the spring. This month is the perfect time to plant tulips. To provide your spring garden with jaw dropping tulips, make sure to plant 10-20 bulbs per hole that is 1 foot in diameter. Be certain that none of the bulbs are touching. - It’s Time to Plant Trees and Shrubs
In last Friday’s article, Is Fall a Good Time to Plant Trees and Shrubs?, we shared about how the fall is the perfect time to plant new trees and shrubs. Fall is perfect because it allows for enough time for your trees and shrubs to grow deep roots.
